Mission Work:

Portland and Upper Mount Bethel Food Pantry (PUMP)

  • Community Presbyterian is deeply committed to the work of the Portland and Upper Mount Bethel Food Pantry (PUMP). Housed in the Portland Methodist Church our members help with the collection, organization, and distribution of food to area individuals and families in need. The congregation donates non-perishable foodstuffs to PUMP every month.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Al Anon

  • Local chapters of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al Anon meet weekly in fellowship hall. Fellowship Hall provides a safe, clean, and private meeting place for members and their families at a minimal cost to the group. Our church familyis devoted to this ministry and in helping to improvethe quality of life ofthosefighting alcoholism.

Families in Need

  • The Slate Belt Ministerium provides resources to local families in need of short-term help by providingnecessities that may includefood, clothing, heat, and housing as the result of an unforeseen circumstance(s). Community Presbyterian is an equal partner with other local congregations as we endeavor to mitigate the effect of sudden loss.

Regional Blood Bank

  • Fellowship Hall is regularly and freely provided to Miller Keystone Blood Bank as a local site for community blood drives. Because of its modern facilities our church is an ideal location for this very important health care initiative.
